I hate packing. I know I pack more than I need.

As much as I hate packing, I also hate buying random stuff during travel.

My non-mathematical equation is simple:

Buying material stuff = spending money = less money to spend during travel

Maybe, maybe if I have unlimited budget, I wouldn’t mind buying stuff I need on the spot. Or maybe not.

When it’s time for me to pack, my needs for imagination are summoned, and I think of every scenario I can possibly imagine.

  • Am I weather somewhat proofed? (Not just umbrella, but clothes that could take less time to dry)
  • Will I attend business casual/gathering/nice dinner spot?
  • Will I possibly hike?
  • Is it gonna be super hot or cold?

I have boxes full of travel stuff where I keep some random things. And I really thought I had some systematic system figured out, but I don’t.

And I struggle.

No matter how many times I travel, I am still bad at packing.

I really need to think of system where I don’t have to think about all these things and paralyze myself.
